WALLACH PRIZE FOR EXCELLENCE IN HISTORY OF DERMATOLOGY

The History of Dermatology Society in conjunction with Clinics in Dermatology have established a new prize to be awarded exclusively to medical students, residents, and trainees in dermatology.

The prize honors Dr. Daniel R. Wallach for his many years of dedication to the history of dermatology. Dr. Wallach, born in 1948, is a graduate of University of Paris Faculty of Medicine. He has been Senior Lecturer in the Departments of Dermatology of the Hôpital Saint-Louis and Hôpital Tarnier-Cochin in Paris, France. Dr. Wallach founded and chaired the French and European societies for the history of dermatology. His interests include medical dermatology, neutrophilic dermatoses, neonatal dermatology, and the history of dermatology.

Submitted papers should be in English as a Word Document. The suggested length for papers is 1800-3000 words. The papers will be judged on relevance to dermatology, originality of content and research, and writing style. Winning contributions will be published in Clinics in Dermatology and recognized at the History of Dermatology Society’s Annual meeting. Authors will receive an engraved plaque honoring the author(s) and the writing.
