Supplements to this bibliographic record of history of dermatology citations in English have been published every five years since thr 1970’s. There continues to be an increase in the number of published presentations, reflecting the continual growth of interest in the history of dermatology.
Although computer searches are readily available, we have found that many historical papers are not indexed, either because they appear in publications not indexed by Index Medicus or because their hsitorical thrust was not readily apparent. We have consulted library files, computer searches, and serendipity to include appropriate entries. An * indicates directs the reader to related entries in earlier installment. The style of the citations has not been converted to the Vancouver style, but rather remains the same as in previous editions with the exception of truncated second page numbers.
