WELCOME TO HDS 2017

This year, the History of Dermatology Society will convene in Orlando, Florida at the Rosen Centre Hotel, 9840 International Drive, Orlando, FL 32819. The annual meeting events will take place on Thursday, March 2, 2017.
We will begin as we have in years past with a docent-led museum tour of the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art. Following our tour of the museum, we will return to the Rosen Centre Hotel, where lunch will be served at 12 noon. This year’s seminar will focus on ‘Picturing in Dermatology: From wax models to teladermatology’ and will begin at 1:30 PM.
The Annual Dinner and Zakon Lecture will also be held at the Rosen Centre Hotel, beginning with a cocktail reception at 7:00 P.M, which will feature the annual Samuel J. Zakon Lecture delivered by Johannes Ring. The evening festivities will also be enhanced by the annual toasts in memory of Marion B. Sulzberger, Herman Beerman, and John T. Crissey. Mark Valentine will conclude the evening, when he announces the winners of the 2017 Samuel J. Zakon Prize.
We are holding a block of rooms at the Rosen Centre Hotel through the American Academy of Dermatology. If you still require housing and would like to utilize the block, please let us know as soon as possible so that we may assist you in making arrangements.
